After BBC Radio One plays 'Relax' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood fifteen times in one week, this record is banned because of its obscene lyrics.


Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood is experiencing its fourth week at number one in England. Only Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg's 'Je t'aime' also managed to become number one
despite the fact that this number also was banned. 'Jump' by Van Halen is now the best selling single in America. The Thompson Twins coming in at number one in with 'Into The Gap'.

'Relax' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood is back at number two and exceeds 'Don't you want me' by the Human League and 'Karma Chameleon' by the Culture Club. The record is so far the best selling single of the 1980s in England.
'When Doves Cry', by Prince makes is the number one in America. Bruce Springsteen is on the first place with his LP 'Born In The USA'


Frankie Goes To Hollywood is the first group that reached platinum status with their first two singles. Both singles are sold more than a million times.
